The First Aid Training School are providers of professional first aid training courses to businesses, schools and individuals throughout Lancashire and the North West,

Our courses include The Appointed Persons Course , Emergency First Aid at Work and the full range of HSE Approved First Aid at Work Courses Basic First Aid and CPR Courses, we also provide the 12 hour 2 day Paediatric First Aid for childminders..

We can adapt our training to suit your requirements and industry and offer discounts for large group bookings. Individuals are welcome to come along to any of our first aid courses in Lancashire and all of our training results in a recognised certification. Our training is delivered using a variety of media including Powerpoint, DVD segments, discussion and plenty of hands on practice to ensure that our candidates know what to do in case of an emergency situation.

Course Title	Emergency first Aid - Appointed person
Duration	One day programme
Target Audience	A six hour course for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and gain a recognised First Aid qualification.
Assessment method	There is no exam at the end as the tutor will carry out an on-going assessment.
Key Issues	A six hour course for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and gain a recognised First Aid qualification. Five hours is spent on the core syllabus with a further one hour spent on additional subjects. The course can be tailored to meet organisational requirements and can be delivered at your offices to minimise disruption. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to demonstrate the essential knowledge and skills needed to deal with life threatening emergencies in the workplace.
Certificate	All successful delegates will be issued with a certificate recognised by the HSE and is valid for a period of three years.
Syllabus	What is First Aid? First Aid in the workplace. Responsibilities of the Appointed Person. Action in an emergency. Primary assessment. Secondary assessment. Breathing and Circulation. Principles of Resuscitation. Airway obstruction. Disorders of circulation. Bleeding. Additional subjects.
