Personal Licence Training Manchester
Course Title: Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders
Duration: One day
Target Audience: Anyone who wishes to work in a licensed premises or any venue or site where alcohol is sold, for drinking on or off the premises - in a position where they will authorise the sale of alcohol to the public.
Assessment method:It is a multiple-choice exam with 40 questions, 28 must be answered correctly to pass. All questions test the knowledge of the person taking the exam.
Key Issues: It covers all aspects of the law and social responsibilities in relation to the sale of alcohol to the public.
Why do I need to have a personal licence?
It is now the law in England and Wales that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. After passing the exam you then need to make an application to your local council. An application must also be made for a Criminal Records Bureau Basic Declaration which is often known as a CRB check. Once issued, the licence will last for a ten year period
